Student Visa Express Launches With IRCC Data on 312,100 Study Permit Decisions

IRCC refused 64.3% of study permit applications filed from outside Canada in 2025. Student Visa Express scans a file against those records before submission.

ImmigrateAI Global has launched Student Visa Express, a free scan that checks a Canadian study permit application against Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada's own refusal records before the applicant submits it. It is the first Canadian platform built on both IRCC's study permit refusal decisions and IRCC's internal officer assessment material, each obtained under the Access to Information Act.

Field of study moves the number again. Applicants in trades were refused 89% of the time. Applicants in general sciences were refused 43% of the time.

Citizenship moves it most. At master's level, applicants from Algeria were refused 93.3% of the time and applicants from Ghana 86.0%, against 13.4% for applicants from China and 8.0% for applicants from the United States. Student Visa Express shows each applicant their own study permit refusal rate by country, program and study level rather than a single national average.

An applicant answers questions about their case and uploads their documents. Text recognition reads passports, letters of acceptance, transcripts, bank statements, and provincial attestation letters, and flags anything not in English or French. The scan then names and ranks every problem it finds, critical first, with the reason each one matters.

After the applicant sees their red flags, they can start resolving them step by step with supporting documents such as a statement of purpose, home tie documents, financials, and others.

The launch follows the September 1, 2026 change to the amount a study permit applicant must show for living costs, now $23,448 for a single applicant outside Quebec. Money is among the top 3 causes of Canada study permit refusal, and the study permit proof of funds check tests the amount, the source, and the timing of the money against each named sponsor rather than against a single number.
